A Fattitude of Gratitude: Skis, Pees, and Tees

The Scene
I'm at the kitchen table watching snow slowly fall to the ground.  My daughter sits to the right of me demolishing her oatmeal.  I am amazed at how she can operate on so little sleep.  She's much better at it than I am.

My Fattitude Of Gratitude
Today I'm lucky and here's why:
  •  My septic backed up but it turned out not to be a big deal.  An easy fix.  It could have been so much worse
  • I went for a three mile ski with the whole family yesterday.  It was the first time I pulled my daughter behind me in the sled.  It was work and a real wake up call.  The trail was like a winter time postcard.  Lesson:  Make sure no one is behind you before you begin your bathroom pit stop.
  • I've been able to spend some time creating more shirt designs.  It's been fun.  I am really motivated to finance my trip to Canada with my Father through my extra creative endeavors.  Even if I don't make it I've learned enough and earned enough to make it worth while.  I'll be posting some of my newer designs in a little while.  Check out my store in progress:  Chew The Fat
  • Many of my students and/or their parents cared enough to get me present and a thank for this holiday season.  No matter how you show that appreciation really means something.  It was a good week to be a teacher.
Here's to what matters most.  Happy Holidays.
